Human Design Transit Watch: Sun in Gate 21 Line 6 and Earth in Gate 48 Line 6

At the turn from March into April the Sun crosses Gate 21, the Gate of the Hunter, with the Earth opposite in Gate 48, the Gate of Depth. It is a pairing about authority and whether it has been earned.

This is an annual transit. The Sun crosses Gate 21 around March 30 to April 4 each year, spending a little under a day in each of its six lines, so the specific pairing below comes around every spring.

The axis: Gate 21 and Gate 48

Gate 21 sits in the Heart center and forms the 45-21 Channel of Money. This is control of the material realm: the necessary use of power over territory, resources and the terms of one’s own life. Under this transit the collective field is preoccupied with who is in charge of what.

The Earth grounds in Gate 48 in the Spleen, part of the 16-48 Channel of the Wavelength. Gate 48 is the well: depth, and the fear of inadequacy that guards it. It is the competence that has to exist before authority means anything.

Between them, the Sun and Earth account for roughly 70% of the neutrino information imprinting us at any moment, which is why this one axis is worth following when the rest of the planetary transit picture gets noisy.

Line 6 of Gate 21 leads material life by example, showing that self-mastery comes before managing anyone else. The 6th line has climbed down off the roof and is no longer interested in proving anything, which is precisely what makes the example land.

Underneath, Line 6 of Gate 48 finds its fulfillment in the well itself, treating depth as a way of being rather than a means to applause. Two 6th lines together make this one of the calmer transits in the wheel.

What to do with a transit

The program is not your life. A transit describes the weather in the collective field, not a set of instructions for you personally, and the difference between those two things is most of the skill.

What it changes for you depends on your own chart. If Gate 21 or Gate 48 is already activated in your design, this transit is amplifying something you carry all the time. If the gate is open in you, you are picking it up from the environment and it is not yours to act on. Either way the decision still runs through your own type and strategy and your own inner authority, never through the transit.

Transits are worth watching because they explain the room, not because they tell you what to do in it.
