The Dream Rave
You have a second chart, and you spend a third of your life in it. When you fall asleep most of your gates switch off and you descend into a five-centered body with fifteen gates, its own Type, and no Strategy or Authority to protect you. This is the mechanics of that body, and of what it does to the person who wakes up.
How the night chart is calculated
Your waking chart has two sides. The Personality is calculated for the moment of birth, and the Design for the moment the Sun stood 88 degrees earlier, about three months before. The Dream Rave keeps the Personality exactly as it is and replaces the Design with a lunar one: the position of the Moon 88 degrees of its own arc before birth, which is roughly eight days. The whole solar Design is left behind and a lunar body takes its place.
That lunar body is the mammalian matrix. Five centers survive: Root, Spleen, Sacral, G and Throat. No Head, no Ajna, no Heart, no Solar Plexus. Fifteen gates survive, in six channels, plus three portal gates that point at centers the sleeping body does not have. Because most planets sit in the same gate on both sides and only the lines shift, the night chart looks like a stripped version of the day chart. It is not. What disappears is as diagnostic as what appears.
Your Type changes in your sleep
With so few gates, a channel rarely forms. Nearly nine in ten people change Type when they fall asleep, and about two thirds of humanity sleep as Reflectors: a sampling aura with nothing fixed in it, taking on whoever is in the room. A Manifestor can sleep as a Projector, a Generator as a Reflector. Type is the first thing to read in a Dream Rave, because the aura change is where the night gets its leverage.
| Sleeping Type | How common | The plot of the dream | What crosses into the morning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reflector | about two in three | Surprise and disappointment | The nagging sense of something received that cannot be harvested |
| Generator | about one in six | Satisfaction and frustration | A depleted body, and a longing for the feel-good that is gone on waking |
| Projector | about one in seven | Success and bitterness | Waking bitter without knowing why |
| Manifestor | very rare | Peace and anger | Waking angry and making up a reason for it |
Every dream is an episode with a beginning, a middle and an end, and its purpose is set by the sleeping Type's signature and not-self theme. The not-self mind then invents a reason for the chemistry it woke up with: bitter because, disappointed because. The mechanics say the chemistry came first.
The fifteen gates, in three realms
Every dream gate has three keynotes: what it was in the mammal, what it does in the dream body, and what it becomes in the waking chart. The waking keynote is the one you already know. The dream keynote is what the night does with it.
Light Field 62, 20, 57, 8, 1
The spirit is superior to the form. Acoustic, individual, and heard rather than seen. Its one dark gate is the 8, where light is tested against form.
| Gate | In the mammal | In the dream | Awake | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 62 | The alpha | Love | Detail | Portal to the 17 |
| 20 | Presence | Sight | The Now | The alarm: wakes you sitting up |
| 57 | Awareness | Attunement | Intuition | The right ear |
| 8 | Direction | Darkness | Contribution | Light tested against form |
| 1 | Individuality | Joy | Self-Expression | The spirit shining through |
Earth Plane 12, 27, 50, 5, 15
No propaganda. The collective waking consciousness of humanity carried into the sleeper: mundane, earthy, sexual, out of time.
| Gate | In the mammal | In the dream | Awake | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | Metamorphosis | Mutation | Caution | Portal to the 22 |
| 27 | Herding | Yearning | Caring | The herd |
| 50 | Bonding | Sex | Values | The lawgiver |
| 5 | Patterns | Time | Fixed Rhythms | Old and future in one scene |
| 15 | Diversity | Chaos | Extremes | No linear time |
Demon Realm 19, 53, 42, 38, 28
The body is everything and the form decays, so fight for it. Fear, aggression, dying, flight, territory. The splinter left in the mind after waking.
| Gate | In the mammal | In the dream | Awake | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 19 | Territory | Environments | Wanting | Portal to the 49 |
| 53 | Freedom | Flight | Beginnings | To take wing or be trapped |
| 42 | Maturity | Dying | Growth | The form is terminal |
| 38 | Fierceness | Aggression | The Fighter | Adrenalized in sleep |
| 28 | Fear | Fear | The Game Player | Fear that there is no purpose |
Three of the fifteen, the 12, the 62 and the 19, are portals rather than dream gates. In the mammal they were the cross-species bonds to the human; in the sleeper they are direct openings to the consciousness field that bypass the dream entirely. What arrives through them feels true and often is, which is exactly why acting on it from the mind is the trap. It can only ever become outer authority.
The weak point
Set the two charts side by side and the night's accent shows. Some gates are added by the lunar calculation; some waking gates and channels vanish; some repeat. Follow where each dream gate points across its channel and ask what it meets in the waking chart: an open center, a gate hanging on its own, a bridge in a split. Somewhere in that comparison is the one place the night leans on hardest, held there for a third of every day with no authority available. That is the weak point. It is where conditioning runs deepest and where a person in the experiment meets their biggest battles.
The rule that decides most cases: a non-energy Type whose dream gate points at the Sacral is being trained to run on energy that is not theirs, and a non-Manifestor pointed at the 20 is being trained to act without waiting. The analysis is deliberately negative, because it shows the program at its most effective. The same place, lived correctly, becomes a strength, and the counter-measure never changes: Strategy and Authority, your own aura at night, awake as yourself at the first breath.
What to do about it
- Sleep in your own aura. A partner, a child or a pet in the room supplies its own character to your night, and you wake inside their residue. An aura taken in stays in the cells for about seven years.
- Go to bed correctly for your Type. Sacral beings go to bed spent. Non-sacral beings get horizontal, propped up and alone, well before exhaustion, so the borrowed charge of the day can clear. The sleep design page has the full split.
- Wake up as yourself. Every morning the sixty-four gates return in a blink. The first breath is the moment to remember your Type and your Authority and to leave the night's residue at the door. It takes a fraction of a second, and it is the single practice that neutralizes the weak point.
A worked example: Ra Uru Hu's Dream Rave
The founder of the system slept as a Projector, with a lunar 8 he never carried awake completing the 8-1 in his sleeping body. His weak point, his Persona of four aspects, the conscious 12 he woke with, and the nights a transit changed his Type are all read through in one place: Ra Uru Hu's Dream Rave, all three stages.
Straight answers
- What is the Dream Rave?
- The design you drop into when you fall asleep. Most of your gates switch off and you operate as a five-centered form with fifteen gates. Your Personality stays the same; the Design side is recalculated from the Moon about 88 degrees before birth, roughly eight days, instead of from the Sun.
- Does everyone change Type when they sleep?
- Nearly nine in ten people do. About two thirds of humanity sleep as Reflectors, whatever they are awake, because so few of the fifteen gates join into a channel.
- Can I calculate my Dream Rave for free?
- No free calculator produces it. This site calculates it with its own engine, checked line for line against Maia Mechanics, the Jovian Archive software, and delivers it as the $37 Dream Rave Chart with your sleeping Type; the weak point is read by an analyst rather than by software.
- What is the weak point?
- The one place in your waking design that the night leans on hardest, for a third of every day, with no Strategy and no Authority available to you. Naming it in plain language is the practical service of Dream Rave analysis, and recognizing it dissolves most of its power.
- Do I need to remember my dreams?
- No. The residue of the night crosses into the waking body whether the story is remembered or not. What matters is the first waking breath, when the two bodies overlap and the residue can be seen for what it is rather than lived as a mood.
