The 3/6 Profile carries the most complex experiential arc of any profile in Human Design. Ra Uru Hu's lecture examines both layers: the conscious 3rd line Martyr process operating through discovery and adaptation, and the unconscious 6th line Role Model moving through its famous three life phases. These two processes overlay and interact, creating a path that from the outside looks chaotic but internally follows a precise developmental logic.
Ra addresses the three phases of the Line 6 in depth: the intense experimental period of the first thirty years (where the 3rd line and 6th line are both in trial-and-error mode), the roof time of approximately age 30–50 (where the Line 6 withdraws to observe and integrate what was learned), and the final emergence as a genuine Role Model in the second half of life — living as an embodied example rather than a teacher or preacher.
The not-self 3/6 often carries deep scarring from the first phase, interpreting the experimental chaos as evidence of something wrong rather than evidence of a thorough education. Ra's lecture provides the mechanical context for understanding why the 3/6's path is not a failure but a curriculum — one of the most complete and wisdom-generating in the system.
