Sun in Gate 12.1: The Pause Before the Sentence

A transit conditions wherever you have openness: most simply an entire Center that's undefined in your own chart, but an open gate or channel inside an otherwise defined Center picks it up too. Defined, with the gate itself activated, runs its own steady theme regardless of what the sky is doing.
Throat
An undefined Throat has no consistent voice of its own; how you speak changes with the company you keep. The conditioning theme is trying to attract attention: talking to be noticed, interrupting, or acting under pressure to prove you exist. Healthy, the undefined Throat waits to be invited into conversation and can become a gifted, versatile communicator.
Ajna
An undefined Ajna processes information in variable ways depending on who's around, which makes it mentally flexible and potentially deeply wise about ideas. The conditioning theme is pretending to be certain, clinging to fixed opinions and beliefs to feel mentally secure. Healthy openness sounds like 'I could be wrong,' and enjoys ideas without needing to defend them.

Gate 11 is the gate of ideas, concepts gathered and turned over in the mind before they are offered to anyone, and it holds the Earth today opposite the Sun in Gate 12, which will not speak until it has checked the ground it is standing on. Between the two of them sits about 70% of the field.
Gate 12 is caution in expression: the individual voice that will not perform on command, that waits for the right inner state before it says the true thing. Gate 11 is the mind’s harvest, ideas collected from a lifetime of watching, not yet spoken, not yet even fully formed. On the first line, both of them turn inward before they turn outward. Call it a check rather than shyness: is this actually mine, is this actually true, before it goes anywhere near an audience.
There is a pause before the sentence today. Something wants to be said, or done, or committed to, and the first-line instinct is to go and find out more before any of that happens. Research before action. A second look at the foundation before any leap from it.
First-line investigation can get mistaken for permanent silence on a 12.1 day, but it is the work that has to happen before the caution lifts and Gate 12 says the one true thing it has been sitting on. Rushing past that work does not produce boldness, it produces a voice with nothing underneath it.
Notice where the rest of the field sits. The Nodes are fixed at 55.3 and 59.3, an emotional theme running underneath everything else this week: spirit and intimacy, the mood of a thing measured against how close anyone is willing to get to it. Saturn is in Gate 21 line 4, discipline meeting influence, and Pluto sits in Gate 41 line 4, the compulsion toward something new pressing from underneath. The transit completes 11-56 on its own, the Channel of Curiosity: an idea, paired with someone willing to go looking for the experience of it. That is the whole shape of the day. An idea checking itself before it goes looking.
