Where Do You Actually Start With Human Design? Here's the Answer.

The full Human Design curriculum is live: five levels, every hour published, no cost to finish any of them. Here's what it is and where to begin.

For years, the honest answer to “where do I start with Human Design” was a shrug and a stack of links. Read this page, then that one, then somehow find your way to a chart, then hope the order you stumbled into made sense. It usually didn’t.

That’s fixed now. The Human Design Curriculum is live: a full syllabus, five levels, with the hours printed on every single one of them.

Why a curriculum, and why now

A syllabus is different from a library. A library is everything, sorted. A syllabus tells you where you are, what’s next, how long it takes, and how you’ll know you’ve got it. We’ve had the library on this site for a long time. We didn’t have the path through it.

So we built one. Five levels, named for what you can actually do at the end of each rather than for a department or a product tier:

  1. Read your own chart: Type, Strategy, Authority, Profile, and what each one is for.
  2. Know what the chart is made of: the centers, channels, and gates underneath those four words.
  3. Run the experiment: living Strategy and Authority, and reading a transit against your own design.
  4. Read a chart for someone else: the real test, with no story of your own to lean on.
  5. Work below the surface: Color, Tone, Base, and Variable, the layer most material never touches.

Every level ends in a checkpoint you grade yourself against, and finishing all five earns a dated Certificate of Completion. It says exactly what it is on its face: a record of what you studied, not a professional credential. If a credential is what you’re after, certification is its own separate path, and it should be, because a credential is a claim someone has to stand behind.

Where to actually begin

Level 1 asks almost nothing of you: calculate your chart, and learn to name your Type, Strategy, Authority, and Profile in a sentence each. That’s it. It’s deliberately short, because most people who say they know their Human Design know exactly these four things, and stopping there is a legitimate place to stop.

If you want to keep going past it, the rest of the path is waiting, with every hour it takes already counted for you.
