Gate 23 line 4 cultivates the relationships where its explanations will actually be received. Gate 43 line 4 follows one line of knowing with total absorption until it resolves. Together, Sun in one and Earth in the other, they carry something like 70% of today’s field.
The 43-23 Channel of Structuring has spent three lines finding out what it actually knows and how to say it. On the fourth line the question changes: not what to say, but who is close enough to actually hear it. Gate 23 here stops broadcasting and starts building the specific relationships that make the insight land somewhere real, while Gate 43 stays absorbed in following its one thread all the way through.
Influence moving through people you already know, rather than through anything you announce publicly, is today’s shape. A deal, an introduction, an opportunity: today it travels along an existing line of trust faster than it travels along merit alone. That is simply how the fourth line always works, because Gate 23’s insight only ever mattered to the audience that had context for it first.
Confusing this with networking for its own sake is the trap, collecting contacts instead of tending the few relationships that actually carry your explanations somewhere. The fourth line is selective by nature: not everyone gets the full structure of what you know, and trying to reach everyone dilutes what reaches the people who matter.
Mercury has moved into Gate 23 itself, line 1, thinking now actively preparing the very words the Sun is speaking. Venus completes Gate 45 at line 6, reconsidering an old arrangement’s shape; Mars sits in Gate 42 line 5, a cycle maturing into its fullest expression.
