Throat

Root
An undefined Root absorbs and amplifies the stress pressure around it, feeling it more intensely than the people generating it. The classic conditioning is hurrying to be free of the pressure: rushing tasks, saying yes to get things over with, living in a permanent race to an empty inbox. The wisdom side is knowing which pressures are actually worth acting on.

Gate 56 line 4 takes over late on the 21st: the storyteller who doesn’t tell one story twice the same way, tailoring each version to the actual relationship in front of it. Gate 60 line 4 sits opposite in Earth, finding the resourceful, workable path inside whatever rules are already standing rather than fighting them head-on.
Gate 56’s fourth line teaches through relationship instead of broadcast: the same lived experience becomes a different lesson for a colleague than it does for a sibling, because the line reads its audience and finds the door that particular person will actually walk through. Gate 60’s fourth line does the structural equivalent, working within an existing limit cleverly enough that the limit stops being an obstacle and starts being a shape to build inside. Put together, both gates are describing the same phenomenon from different centers: things move today because of who already has access, not because of who has the better pitch.
The flavour of a 56.4 / 60.4 day is influence traveling through channels that were built a long time ago, activated now because the relationship was already there. Opportunity doesn’t knock cold. It arrives through someone who already knows you, or through an agreement someone else negotiated years before today.
The trap is assuming this kind of movement is corrupt simply because it isn’t a level playing field. Line 4 was never trying to be a meritocracy. Its actual skill is knowing which door a given person or institution will open, and using the relationship honestly rather than pretending it doesn’t exist. The failure mode isn’t using the network; it’s using it carelessly, tailoring the story so well to one audience that it stops being true for anyone else.
The Nodes still hold Gate 55 and Gate 59, Spirit and Intimacy running underneath today’s more relational, connective mood. Saturn remains fixed in Gate 21 line 6, and Pluto in Gate 41 line 3: the same long-running pressure toward control answering for itself, and the same compulsion toward renewal, both still active under the network moving above them.
