Gate 7 line 2 leads only where it is genuinely called, withholding direction from anyone who hasn’t asked for it. Gate 13 line 2 listens the same way: discerning which confidences to accept and which to decline outright. These two gates, one on the Sun and one on the Earth, make up something like 70% of today’s field.
Yesterday Sun and Earth both sat on the first line, and the whole day was foundation-laying: read everything, rule nothing out. They’ve moved on. The second line doesn’t gather indiscriminately. It has already decided, on instinct, which things belong to it and which don’t.
This is the selective gate at work, and selective is different from withholding. Gate 7 line 2 has real direction to offer, and knows better than to hand it to people who haven’t asked. Gate 13 line 2 could hold anyone’s story, and chooses not to hold all of them. Neither gate is being cold. Both are protecting something scarce: attention, judgment, the credibility of the direction itself.
What moves today looks more like discretion than rejection. A regulator does not wave a deal through until the part that matters, editorial independence, is locked in writing. A man does not confess; a decade-old accusation is brought to him, and he answers for it because someone else called it out. The pattern repeats: nothing here volunteered itself. It was recognized, named, and only then acted on.
Reading this selectivity as arrogance or coldness is the easy misread of a 7.2 or 13.2 day. A line 2 that says yes to everything dilutes itself into nothing, and a leader who leads before being asked meets resistance rather than trust. The discipline is patience: hold the line, let recognition arrive, then act.
Notice the rest of the field while this settles. The transit still completes 33-13, the Channel of the Prodigal, alongside 46-29 and 30-41: the whole abstract, experiential stream is live, wanting, committing, and recovering all at once underneath today’s more careful surface. The Nodes remain fixed at 30.6 and 29.6, holding that long story steady while the second line works its narrower, sharper discrimination on top of it.
