Human Design Transit Watch: Sun in Gate 42 Exaltation Line 5 and Earth in Gate 32 Line 5

Each April the Sun moves through Gate 42, the Gate of Growth, with the Earth opposite in Gate 32, the Gate of Continuity. This is the wheel’s window on finishing things. The 42 is about completing a cycle rather than starting one, and the 32 is about knowing which things are built to last.

This is an annual transit. The Sun crosses Gate 42 around April 10 to April 16 each year, spending a little under a day in each of its six lines, so the specific pairing below comes around every spring.

The axis: Gate 42 and Gate 32

Gate 42 sits in the Sacral and forms the 42-53 Channel of Maturation. It carries the energy that sees a cycle through to its end. Under this transit the collective field is preoccupied with completion, and with the particular frustration of things left at ninety percent.

Opposite it, the Earth grounds in Gate 32 in the Spleen, part of the 32-54 Channel of Transformation. Gate 32 is the instinct for endurance: the splenic read on whether a venture has the substance to survive, or is simply exciting.

Between them, the Sun and Earth account for roughly 70% of the neutrino information imprinting us at any moment, which is why this one axis is worth following when the rest of the planetary transit picture gets noisy.

Line 5 of Gate 42 matures into the fullest version of itself by giving the cycle everything it has. The 5th line carries projection and practical expectation, which is why this position is associated with being called on to deliver something concrete.

Earth in Gate 32 Line 5

Underneath, Line 5 of Gate 32 is consulted on what deserves resources and has to judge without flattery. Two 5th lines on the same axis means a lot of projection in the field, and a lot of people being asked for verdicts.

What to do with a transit

The program is not your life. A transit describes the weather in the collective field, not a set of instructions for you personally, and the difference between those two things is most of the skill.

What it changes for you depends on your own chart. If Gate 42 or Gate 32 is already activated in your design, this transit is amplifying something you carry all the time. If the gate is open in you, you are picking it up from the environment and it is not yours to act on. Either way the decision still runs through your own type and strategy and your own inner authority, never through the transit.

Transits are worth watching because they explain the room, not because they tell you what to do in it.
