Extended Curriculum 1: History, Global Cycles & 2027

This path zooms out from the individual chart to the whole species. Jovian Archive has compiled Ra Uru Hu's lectures on the global cycles into 16 lessons, about 38.5 hours, delivered as audio, video and an ebook. Its subject is the background every chart lives in, and the change in that background in 2027.

Global cycles in Human Design run for roughly four hundred years. The Cross of Planning has set the collective background since 1615, and the structures it organized (institutions, shared systems, the bargain that holds a community together) are the world most of us were raised inside. The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix that follows is read as far more individual, with people operating from their own design and far less from a common plan. The site's own 2027 page dates the change to February 2027.

Ra's account gives a mechanical frame to something many people already feel: institutions that once seemed permanent are wearing thin. The value of hearing it from the source is precision. The cycles describe what is running collectively, which can be observed and tested against the world, and they do not hand any individual a fate.

When people ask me what happens after 2027, I point them to Ra's own material on Jovian Archive, and this path gathers a large share of his lectures on the cycles in one place. Nothing about the cycle change alters anyone's Strategy and Authority. The cycle is the weather the experiment runs in, and the experiment continues through it.
