Bhan Tugh is where the Rave Cosmology starts, and it is the most mythological of the seven volumes. Ra Uru Hu taught it in the fall of 2005, eighteen years after the January 1987 encounter on Ibiza that gave him the system, and it runs 13 hours across 11 lessons. In it he works through the plates he drew to record what he was shown during those eight days, beginning with the two original principles he named the Bhan and the Tugh.
The plates move from the beginning before the start through the prime yang crystal and the primary magnetic monopole to the shattering of the crystals of consciousness, which is where the personality crystal and the design crystal in every chart come from. Along the way Ra introduces the Eron and the Child, two ideas that take a whole later volume to unpack. Then he names the larger structures of the Biverse: the Dog and the Camel, the four corners, the sixteen faces, the sixty-six sides that the fractal lines originate from, and the death and reincarnation of Sirius. The closing lesson turns to his own journey.
Very little of this can be tested the way Type, Strategy and Authority can. I hold it as a mythology with mechanics inside it. The part you can live remains the experiment with your own Strategy and Authority, and the plates give that experiment a context. When I teach them, I set them beside what physics currently says about the first moments of the universe and about neutrinos, because the parallels are striking and the places where the two part company are instructive too.
This is also the volume the rest of the series leans on. The design crystal and the monopole return in Dying, Death and Bardo as the mechanics of leaving a body, crystal bundles come back in Profile, Purpose and Function, and the Eron and the Child are developed in full in Brahma's Night and Beyond. Starting here means you meet those terms where they were first introduced.
