Harry S. Truman's Bardo: The Morning After Christmas

Ra Uru Hu taught the Bardo, the structured unraveling that follows physical death, using his own passing in 2011 as the illustration his students would carry forward. Harry S. Truman’s chart gives the series another cleanly documented case to walk: his death carries a clock time announced by Research Hospital’s own bulletin, on the morning after Christmas in 1972.

What happened in Kansas City

Truman entered Research Hospital in Kansas City on December 5, 1972, with lung congestion. He was eighty-eight, and what began as a respiratory illness settled into a three-week decline, one system after another giving way while the country waited through Christmas. He died at 7:50 AM Central on December 26, 1972, the hospital’s announcement preserved in the obituary published the next morning.

Where transit Earth stood

In Ra’s teaching, physical death is the moment when the two aspects of a design responsible for placing a person in their life, and for animating the body itself, separate from the physical form for good. The personality lingers for a while afterward: memory, conditioning, self-image, still present even though the vehicle it ran is gone. Ra taught that this fades through a fixed, time-limited sequence, three line-positions in a row, in an order set entirely by wherever transiting Earth happened to sit, by gate and line, at the instant of death.

At 7:50 AM Central on December 26, 1972 (1:50 PM Greenwich time), computed directly in Maia Mechanics, Human Design Professional Software licensed from Jovian Archive, transiting Earth sat in Gate 52, the Gate of Stillness, line two, the line that, on the living side of the wheel, “holds its center while surrounded by motion, refusing to be swept into others’ urgency.” A line-two entry opens a three-stage sequence of its own: surrender, then chaos, then passage, typically closing out over roughly a day to a day and a half.

What this doesn’t reach for

Ra’s own teaching went a layer deeper for his own case, naming the specific planet exalted at the exact line his Earth held when he died. That layer lives in the Rave I’Ching itself, and nothing published here licenses it, so this piece stops at transit Earth’s position and the stage it opened.
